When you create an account we store your email address, username, profile information (bio, social links, vehicle, skills, languages), and any photos you upload. When you grant location permission we collect your approximate coordinates to show travellers near you.
Your data is used solely to operate the app: matching you with nearby convois, displaying your profile to other members, and delivering messages. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Location is only collected when you explicitly allow it. Depending on your convoi's privacy setting, other users may see a rough area (country or region) rather than your exact position. You can revoke location permission at any time in your browser or device settings.
Chat messages are stored in our database to deliver them between participants. Messages are only accessible to the members of the conversation.
Profile pictures and convoi photos are stored securely in cloud storage. They are resized automatically for performance. When you delete a photo or your account, the associated files are removed.
We keep your data as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your profile, messages, and uploaded media.
Convoi uses Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and file storage, and Vercel for hosting. These services have their own privacy policies.
