By creating a Convoi account you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Convoi is a platform that helps overlanders, vanlifers, and road travellers find and join travel groups (“convois”), chat, and send emergency signals. We provide the tools to connect — what happens on the road is your responsibility.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Convoi. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. One person, one account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Don't use Convoi to harass, threaten, stalk, or impersonate others. Don't post illegal content, spam, or misleading information. Don't attempt to access other users' accounts or data. Don't use the emergency feature for non-emergency situations. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules without notice.
You own the content you upload (photos, bios, messages). By posting it on Convoi, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, store, and transmit it as needed to operate the service. We don't claim ownership of your content. We may remove content that violates these terms.
Convoi Pro is a paid monthly subscription that unlocks extra browse filters (dating, activities, skills, languages, vehicle gear) and 72-hour emergencies (24 hours on the free plan). The price is €4.99 per month, billed in euros by Stripe. Taxes appear on the Stripe invoice when they apply.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel anytime from Settings → Subscription (Stripe customer portal) or by deleting your account. After you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period already paid, then you return to the free plan. No further charges.
Completing checkout is a request for immediate access to Pro. Under EU consumer rules, the 14-day withdrawal right then no longer applies to that billing period once Pro has been unlocked (filters used or a 72-hour emergency sent). If you have not used Pro, you can still ask for a full refund within 14 days. Other refunds are case-by-case — write help@getconvoi.app.
Pro is attached to the email on your Convoi account (the same email Stripe bills). If you lose access, sign in with a magic link on that email, then Restore on Settings → Subscription. See Help for lost inboxes, failed payments, and duplicate accounts. We do not move a subscription to a different email without proof of the original payment.
Convoi is a tool for finding travel companions. We do not vet, screen, background-check, or verify the identity of any user. We do not guarantee the behaviour, intentions, or trustworthiness of anyone you meet through the platform.
Any interaction, meetup, or travel you undertake with other users is entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by French law, Convoi is not liable for any harm, loss, injury, or damage arising from your interactions with other users, whether online or in person. This does not exclude liability for fraud or gross negligence on our part.
You are solely responsible for your own safety. Exercise caution when meeting people from the internet. Share your plans with someone you trust, meet in public places first, and leave any situation that feels unsafe.
The emergency feature notifies nearby users but does not replace emergency services. Always call local emergency numbers (112 in Europe, 911 in the US) for life-threatening situations. Convoi does not guarantee that anyone will respond to your emergency signal.
The app is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed. The service is provided as-is without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Deletion cancels Pro immediately, then removes your profile, messages, photos, convois, and emergency signals. Stripe retains payment records as required by law.
These terms are governed by French law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of France. As an EU consumer, you also have the right to submit a dispute to the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
